Project Grenada is our international partnership and part of our Matthew 25 initiative that takes seriously Jesus' call to offer hope and love to the "least of these."  At St. Paul's we have made a long term commitment to this small but wonderful country.  We have discovered one of the key needs in Grenada is leadership development.  There are wonderful and hard working people all over the island that with some training could dramatically improve the unemployment and poverty situations there.  At St. Paul's we are investing in developing local leaders in the areas of agriculture, entrepreneurship and discipleship.

Words from the field...

"Our journey began at 3am and we arrived in Grenada in darkness. Awaking the next morning to a majestic view of the ocean and surrounding islands. We were all filled with great anticipation and wonder of what the first day would be like…but seeing the children’s smiles and friendliness melted away any fear or anxiety...

God has blessed my life so much; I knew He wanted the same for the people of Grenada...God gave me a reason to go on this mission trip…I experienced so much love and compassion.  I believe WHAT MATTERS IS NOT THE DURATION OF MY LIFE, BUT THE DONATION OF IT. NOT HOW LONG I LIVED, BUT HOW I LIVED."

- Valerie Strohl, a Grenada trip participant (Read Val's entire testimony here.)
